Cameron and Vanessa Mathison are parting ways.
The "General Hospital" actor, 54, and his wife Vanessa said in a joint statement Wednesday that they have made the "difficult decision" to end their marriage after 22 years. They share two children together.
"We enter this new chapter with deep love, kindness, and respect for each other," they said on Instagram. "We hold gratitude in our hearts for the wonderful years we shared together. Our children have been and will continue to be our highest priority, and we will forever share in our devotion and love for them."
They added, "We remain friends, and both wish the best for one another. We sincerely appreciate your respect for our family's privacy during this transition."
The statement was first shared exclusively with Entertainment Tonight.

"(Producer) Frank Valentini made the character of Drew a reality for me, and now he has made Vanessa's dream come true as well," Cameron said on Instagram before her first episode aired in 2022. "Vanessa has been a 'GH' fan her whole life!"
The actor, who previously starred as Ryan Lavery on "All My Children," added, "When I met her I was Ryan on 'All My Children' and she had no idea who I was … she only watched 'GH.'"
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2022, Cameron said that his and Vanessa's marriage "hasn't all been smooth, for sure."
"We went through rocky times the first five years," he shared at the time. "Getting through those times, and getting to call Vanessa my best friend and fully enjoy every moment together, it's been better than I could have ever imagined marriage being for me."
